AI (Artificial Intelligence) is changing the way we work and live. 
AI is estimated to create an additional 13 trillion US dollars of value annually by the year 2030. And that is including all the sectors not limited to the software industry.
Few examples where AI is used is in smart speakers (Alexa, Google Talk), Self-driving cars...
And now it has also started contributing to content management systems.

Our websites are maturing into feature-rich publishing platforms, allowing collaboration across organizations and delivering content across multiple channels. But the out of the box publishing experience is fairly flat -- with content either published or not.

We’ve been working with Drupal for a long time: since way back in 2006, when Drupal had just reached version 4.6. The platform has come a long way, and in particular Drupal 8 and 9 have been huge jumps forward. 

Meanwhile, so has the rest of the publishing industry. Building content online has never been easier, with products like Squarespace, Wix, and even WordPress defining the new standard for easy-to-use publishing tools.

In this session, we'll be learning about Facebook's Open Graph protocol, a series of meta tags which define how your URLs will appear when shared on Facebook's platforms. To test this, we will also take a quick look at Facebook's Sharing Debugger tool.

Drupal’s extensibility allows us to create the perfect CMS for our organizations. But too often the same level of design is not considered when building out the editorial interfaces. The default tools are often scary for first-time Drupalers and include confusing words like ‘nodes’, ‘taxonomy’, and ‘blocks’. Making Drupal friendly for clients means checking internal jargon at the door and building interfaces that are intuitive and distraction-free. Topics include:

An exciting improvement in Drupal 8 is having a date field in core. That said, custom code is often needed to provide commonly-requested functionality. The Smart Date module allows you to upgrade your date fields, quickly and easily!

Attendees will learn how to use Paragraphs and Entity Reference with Layout to control content layout on a per node / entity basis, but in a much cleaner way.  No more creating dozens of container Paragraphs for every conceivable layout.

Entity Reference with Layout https://www.drupal.org/project/entity_reference_layout is a module that implements layouts as a container Paragraph.  It offers editors a clean, intuitive modal interface for layout selection and content creation.

Over the past year, the Drupal UX study group has been working on gathering information about how content editors use Drupal. We're doing user research to help inform improvements to the Drupal admin UI. Our goal is to make Drupal an amazing platform for site administrators. Our first priority is the user experience of content editors.

We asked content editors what they thought of the Drupal Admin UI and how it could be improved. We’ve also been conducting user studies to see how editors use Drupal and other CMS’s.
