There are a lot of Drupal features we end up missing out on when going fully Decoupled. In a lot of scenarios, only a part of our application needs the functionality that Decoupled Drupal provides, and going overboard ends up hurting us more than it saves our time.

Can't we have your cake and eat it too? Well, we certainly can when we decouple progressively. With such an architecture we get to enjoy the strong suite of both Drupal and the Frontend framework without worrying about how to scale our infrastructure or the team.

CSS Grids is one of the most powerful and trending topics in the CSS world. However, CSS Grid is often not the first choice of frontend developers when it comes to doing the layout and structure of a page or theme.

This session aims to remove some of the misconceptions around the complexity of CSS grids, also educate about when and how to use them. One of the reasons often given for not using CSS Grids is its partial support for IE11. We will also see how to work around this problem.

Now that Drupal 9 has been released we can begin testing and experimenting with theming.  For those of us using Pattern Lab as a pattern library for component-based development, it’s a little more complex.  As you may already know, the largest difference from a theming standpoint between Drupal 8 and Drupal 9 is that the latter uses Twig version 2. This will be a session about the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) suite of web standards. Developers use ARIA to highlight the accessiblity features of their websites. The session is intended for developers who are famliar with accessibility and want to take advantage of ARIA to enhance the accessiblity of their web components.

Has Layout Builder surpassed the Paragraphs module as the way to build a set of flexible components for design systems? This talk will cover the pros and cons of both approaches and dive into a real world example project that is using Layout Builder with custom built design controls for layout, color, size, spacing, animation and more.
